Maid of the Mist

The first "attraction" we did was the Maid of the Mist. We all put on these bright blue ponchos and were herded through this underground tunnel to a boat near the base of the Falls. The boat goes down the river and right beside the bottom of the Falls. There is spray and mist everywhere, but it is mostly just like it is raining a little. It is amazing to get that close! There were some areas where the misty spray was so heavy that you really couldn't see at all.

After it was over, we hung around the marketplace for a little while. There was a shoeless Canadian playing the guitar, so we enjoyed a few of his songs before we moved on to the next activity.
